Explore Samburu National Reserve
Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu
Upon arrival at the airport, or upon pick up from the hotel, meet our representative and have a short briefing about the safari.
Later transfer to Wilson Airport to catch a flight to Samburu National Reserve. Arrive and meet our guide who will transfer you to the lodge/camp along with an en route game drive.
Arrive and check in as well as have lunch. Afterwards, embark on an afternoon game drive in Samburu National Reserve. This reserve is known for its unique wildlife, including the special five i.e. reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, Beisa Orynx & Gerenuk Gazelle.
Return to your lodge/camp for dinner and unwind by the campfire, sharing stories of the day’s wildlife sightings.
Day 2: Full Day in Samburu
Start the day with an early morning game drive to witness the awakening of the reserve’s wildlife. Samburu is famous for its vibrant birdlife and the chance to see predators like lions and leopards. Return to the lodge for breakfast and spend the midday relaxing by the pool or at your own leisure.
After lunch embark on an afternoon game drive until evening.
Optional visit to a local Samburu village to experience the rich cultural heritage of the Samburu people. Learn about their traditional customs, dances, and daily life.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp.
Day 3: Samburu to Nairobi
Early morning game drive in the reserve. Head back to the lodge for breakfast and check out. Afterwards optional guided morning walk by Samburu Warriors before departure.
Transfer to the airstrip to catch a flight back to Nairobi. The flight will provide one last opportunity to enjoy the stunning landscapes from the air.
Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time in Nairobi for optional activities like visiting the Giraffe Centre or Karen Blixen Museum.
Afterwards transfer to the airport for your outbound flight or drop off at the hotel.
